STATEMENTS
OF FAITH
We
believe;
1. God is only One true God, our Heavenly Father, Genesis
1:1, Psalms 19:1, 24:1, 33:6-9, 86:9-10, the Creator of all out of nothing.
He's the source of absolute truth revealed in His Word that we must believe, 2
Timothy 3:16, 3:10-15, 2 Peter 1:21, John 17:17, Psalms 119:105. Only God is in existence forever, John 1:1-3.
2. Jesus Christ is the Second person in the Godhead, ONLY
begotten Son of God, Matthew 28: 19, John 1:1ff, 3:16-18, 14:1-6, Romans 5:8-10.
He’s God born of Virgin Mary, Matthew 1:18-25. He's God-man before eternity,
divine though put on the flesh to redeem man from eternal frailty through his
cross at Calvary, and he's our second Adam of Righteousness. Jesus’ death,
burial, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, Isaiah
53:4-10, John 19 & 20, I Corinthians 15, 2 Corinthians 4: 13-14, Hebrews
2:9, 2 Peter 2:24. He raised us from the death; those who will be dead at his
coming will rise again.
3. The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead, equal
in power, glory and divinity, but distinctive roles and works; preserving the
believers in our walk and witness, John 14:16-19, 16:5-16, Acts 1:8, 16:6-7 and
2 Corinthians. 1:22. The outworking of the power of the Holy Spirit for the
Gospel Mission in this lost world, Joel 2:28-32, Acts 1:8.
4. God formed man in His own image out of the dust of the
ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living
soul, Genesis 1:26, 2:7. Man is of the body, soul and spirit, 1 Thessalonians
5:21. Man is God's ambassador on earth to take control over all other creatures
on His behalf on earth. Also, man fall short of the glory of God, Genesis 3, Romans
1:1ff, 3:21-23, Ephesians 2:1-5. We fell and need the savior Jesus Christ.
5. Born again believer is the Church of God, Ephesians 1:22,
Colossians 1:1-18, Ephesians 3:10, 5:24-29. The assembly of the sanctified ones
in Christ Jesus are the Holy people of God, I Corinthians 1:2, Acts 14:23, Philippians
4:15, Acts 13:28. They feed on the Word of God daily, Acts 2:41-47. Christ is
the head of the Church. The believers’ church is
the earthly family of God, united as one in worship and fellowship with God, I
Corinthians 3:9:15, 8:5-6. The church must follow discipline stipulated in
God’s Word, Matthew 18:15-18, 1Timothy 5:20, I Corinthians 5:6-11, Hebrews
12:5-12. Purity in marriage relationships and family, Hebrews 13:4, Ephesians
5:15-33 & 1Timothy 3:1-4.
6. Believers’ baptism by immersion into much waters in the
Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a sign inaugurating believers
in the family of God, Colossians 2:11-12, Matthew 3:16, Luke 3:21, Acts 8:
36-39. It’s an outward sign of a true repentance of a sinner from our sins,
Acts 2:38, 16:15, & 18:8. Anyone baptized joins Christ in His death, burial
and resurrection, Romans 6:1-23, Colossians 2:13. We are dead to the world and
its evils, Galatians 6:13-15. The dedication of young children to God, Luke
18:15-17.
7. God is working in the church through SUFFERING for
Christ's sake to sanctify and confirm us to the likeness of Christ, Romans 8:
18-20, 2 Corinthians 4:16-17. God by His grace through our faith in the blood
of Jesus Christ has justifies us freely, and continues to sanctify us through
many trials, John 17:15-17, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 4:3, 5:23-23, Hebrews 2:11, 12:14, 13:12, I John 1:7, Luke
1:74-75, 2 Corinthians 7:1, I Peter 1:16, Ephesians 5:25-27.
8. The second coming of Christ will be visible and physical,
Acts 1:9-11, John 14: 1-2, the time no man knows but the Father, Matthew
24:34-37. We will be at home with Him forever after Christ Jesus has taken us
from here, I Thessalonians 4:15-17, Matthew 24:40-44. But those who rebelled
are already, and will be judged, John 3:18-19, I Corinthians 3:8, 12-15. God
will send the Devil and ungodly to eternal ruin, Revelation 19:19-21, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, Jude 1:14-15,
Zechariah 14:3-4.
9. God is preparing a New Heaven and Earth in which HOLINESS
will exist forever, 2 Peter 3:12-14, Isaiah 65:17-25, 66:22-23, Revelation 21:1-3.
The new Israel of God will be with Yahweh forever. She will inherit her joy in
fullness for all eternity.
