Positive Parenting

DCM Uganda is engaging in restoring the rightful biblical christian parenting. We are expecting to organize more parenting meetings to discuss and share with parents how to rare children God's way. In such a way we will build a nation and a generation that will have a positive impact on society even many years ahead.

So far we have conducted two meetings and here below is a schedule for the recent one. You can provide skills, advice and participate in this mission. We are especially dealing with parents along the lake shores in Buikwe, also expect to cross over to the Buvuma islands.

Beware of Words!

Beware Words Crack Bones & Actions Kill the Body!

Why must you guard your heart and lips?

In response to such open questions, one should trace the historical facts. Remember history repeats itself. No one has ever done something which hasn't been done. Certainly whatever you say and do shows what and who you are. For sure the real you! And remember, all the ways in which you act, is a repetition of history. Do not think that you are acting in a new fashion never before. So, some of you act differently but hiding your intentions. What your lips gush out shows your real inner person. Your actions align with the realhttp://fbstatic.fanbox.com/abcdj/TinyMce/plugins/premiuminator/img/trans.gif issue at heart. Why? It's the nature you and I are born. No wonder you really act like chameleons. Like the Devil so are those born of flesh and blood!

You must tell the truth. You want others to tell what you want not telling it yourself anyway. We are in an age where people are striking in marriages, families, towns, workplaces, and schools. Yes, some of you strike with a genuine reason(s). You air out your grievances and are direct to the fact of life. But why do some of you end up with burnings, killings, and injuries? Isn't it meaning that you hid in the name of striking but with another agenda that you may achieve other ends? By the way have you known that even with your word you strike and burn others? Families are in a deep ditch of no return. Marriages has be put on a hold until he will apologize I will not go back. Children are barely left without hope of kissing the next day. The effect of all this is a confused and degenerated society with no half a morality at all. Each institution is in disarray because the foundation of a nation is under chaos.

You must live your code of conduct (truth) in whichever field you are. Like my friends, the educators of this nation, you wake up early in the morning. Dresses up go speak to young blood. Ask for signing after the day off you go. Welcome back melodies fly at your side from your firstborn daughter. Widely open are fingers after two fortnights. Noble is a field that I envy everyone who travails through her. But she has been jeopardized like a strangled animal. Consequently you are all confused! Be open as a professional! Say what you want! The way men propose women, take an example except those who are shy, but that should be depicted in all your actions. Say it out and things get settled other than one thing culminating into several atrocities.

You must listen to one another. Dead bodies will float everywhere unless you listen with two ears. That is why eyes were put in front to see first but ears at the back to process information before rushing out babbles. Each one of us, please, listen before you hurriedly answer. Seek counsel! In answering, be open and satisfactory to those asking you. The world longs to smorgasbord those who act wisely in their actions than those knowledgeable enough not to give a right answer but confusion.

Friends! Decide to act wisely. Let your actions align with your intentions. Do not hide who you are. You were created to be good communicators day in out. Whenever you use that badly, you cause chaos that generations will live to regret. History repeating itself then! Will you do it? I mean becoming a good communicator. Please be on your guard of words; be it in your family, marriage, office, churches, organizations, and government, the list is endless, for they will either build or destroy. Build! Build! Build! Nothing else but build! Read Proverbs 14:3 & 15:1-2.

Thanks you!

Teaching God’s Way!

Image Bearers of God, Fallen Teachers but Redeemed!

A gloomy day befell James swimming in a flood of pains because strokes had rained on his skinny shape. The Math instructor exclaimed that James’ understanding is a distance away. "He is such a naïve and dense chap," were words gushing out of the red eyed oppressor. Would you expect learners like James conditioned as if an animal and programmed like a machine to perform in a way God wants? Unless born again school teachers understand that we are made in God’s image they will not value learners as highly as God does.

God created us in his own image and likeness, (Genesis 1:26, 5:1). He endowed in us his nature and character that we might live accordingly. He is the authority and the only truth upon which all life should appeal. This refutes the unwarranted fabrications of the evolutionists who hold that man has evolved and formed out of random occurrences. These debase views are a yardstick upon which teaching theories and practices are formulated that have influenced education. Man is not an authority at all only God who created us spiritual, rational, moral and immortal beings. He gave us part of His authority to be part of this creative process in our schools, (Genesis 9:6, Colossians 3:10, Ephesians 4:24). Whenever a child is abused is almost killed. That should influence teachers’ words and actions after God’s pattern. Most instructional strategies present learners as mere receptors not creative beings. That devalues their potentials and abilities. They need to grow into initiative persons in society not mere job seekers. To achieve creativity, learning is to be provided in a tender yet responsible situation as God does to all of us.

Nevertheless, man disobeyed God, (Genesis 3:1-8, 6: 5). We all fell from God’s righteousness, knowledge and holiness though still called image bearers rational, moral, with certain amount of responsibility from God, (Genesis 9:6, I Corinthians 15:49). No one can ever say I was not there. We all missed the glory of God in Adam as our representative head. We are all with Adam if we are to be with Jesus Christ, (Romans 3:20-22). The root of ill treatments in schools does not primarily lounge in individual passions and impulses but the Bibles stresses Adam’s original sin against God. Man seeks in vain solutions to teaching problems outside God. That puts teacher-learner relationship into a foggy day. We abuse learners day in out. If we call learners stupid so are we because of our sin in Adam, (Romans 5:12). The learner is not dense parse but we have failed to identity where the learner’s abilities are to help him grow in that line. Teachers will not act a mileage away from what they were taught but you are supposed to be coworkers with God. We must return to God. Our innovations are in toto ruin without God shading His light in our lives. That is the condition of all of us who have not found the savior Jesus Christ whom God has given to redeem us. There is no excuse one is either on the right or wrong side no neutral ground not any! (Romans 5:8, John 3:3, Matthew 10:32-33).

Regardless of our rebellion, God provided His Son to die and redeem us, (John 3:16-18, Ephesians 1:7, 3:11, I Peter 1:2). Those who believe are rescued from their frailty through Jesus Christ. We all stand the same ground to beg God’s mercy through Jesus Christ who died in our place that we are bought back to God from the Devil’s auction. Teachers inhale lies of trying to be bosses not humbling ourselves before Jesus Christ. Be careful good teaching is a product of good learning. Jesus is the greatest teacher the world has ever had, (Matthew 5:1ff). Our problem is not primarily sadness in life, failures in career, or flawed school authority but disobeying God. The true source of joy, success and cooperation is in aligning with this great teacher, John 15:15). God sent the teacher to get us from our ignorance to newness in life and careers, (II Corinthians 5: 17, Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:1-4, 10). The renewed teachers do not travail as though engrossed in the old man but newness of mind and deed as our devoted life service to Christ. That trims our lives upright in daily word and action. We are redeeming agents God has instituted in schools where we are. We lead learners to process information that benefits them inside out schools not to oppress them. Yes, there is a place for the rod of discipline after scheduled warnings and telling the child his/her mistakes, (Proverbs 13: 24, 19:18, 22:15). Do it kindhearted but with responsibility. Still creativity is all we pray to God for our learners to mimic. Teaching is meant for learners to get understanding of the world around us, make sense out of it and know God through Christ Jesus until he comes back to take the church heavenward to where our Father dwells, (John 14: 1-6, Philippians 3: 20).

It is indisputable that we are image bearers of God though rebelled against Him; Christ obeyed in our place to redeem us.  Far be it for born again school teachers to drill learners to perform the way they want. Know well that learners will pass through as only worked on tins not creative at all. Our society is yelling for job makers not oppressed beings that will carry on the candlelight of oppression. Man has not evolved from mutation or by accident, and his thought processes cannot be determined by brain drilling, for he is created in God’s image to be creative and thoughtful in turn to glorify and enjoy God forever.

Ndejje Mission

DOOR-TO-DOOR EVANGELISM NDEJJE VILLAGE

Have You Found Where  fresh Waters are to Cast Your New Nets for a Big Catch? Mark 1: 17.

PREAMBLE:
We are grateful to the LORD for what He’s doing through us in this mission. We have reached out several persons and families during the course of the semester. We felt humbled at how people are so hungry and thirsty for the right word of God especially women who are exposed to all sorts of social mistreatment. They were neglected by their husbands. While some, relatives of the deceased have chased them away. These three families stand out for our concern indicated in this brief note. We have shared our hearts with them as they have also done the same.
Prior to this, I (Patrick) have been asking myself whether our effort in doing God’s work has made any impact at all in people’s lives. Yes, it has done tremendous impact especially into these three families we are to share with you in this short note.
Since my first year and in this year specifically, I (Patrick) have been looking forward to the opportunities God is bringing our way. Why going out to bring people to the kingdom then afterwards leave them? It is a question that has haunted me to think twice. It will be then wastage of time and energy if we went and shared with people the gospel not following them up. Thus, Patrick Mukisa and Roger Drati are envisioning starting a constant follow up and fellowship program starting with these three families.

MISSION SUMMARY:
Patrick Mukisa and Roger Drati have come together to see what God can do in people’s lives especially the new converts in Ndejje village. The village has got several Christian churches and mosques. The number of Muslims greatly outnumbers the Christians. The Christian churches have paid a deaf ear to God’s great commission to us, (Matthew 28:18-20), and the real concerns of the people in the village. It is a pleasure to share with you how God's been gracious with us to share his word with several families in this area. These families have accepted the LORD from Catholic and Muslim backgrounds but have testified of the LORD’s goodness in their lives. They need you to stand with in fellowship, and support them with reading materials, bibles and training on farming skills. This has of course many implications that we presume you are asking yourself but with God everything is possible, (Luke 18: 27).

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS:
  1. To conduct and carry out effective follow up program, (Isaiah 61:1ff, Matthew 5: 13-14), to bring about healing to the lost through God’s word.
  2. To conduct one on one fellowship with the New Converts, (Acts 4:32-35).
  3. We envisage (who knows but God knows!) to carry out future ministry in the area and its neighborhoods, (Matthew 28:18-20, James 1: 26-27).
  4. To promote sustainability and support the New Believers, (Psalms 9:18, 41:1-5).
STRATEGIES/ACTIVITIES:
Ø  Conducting Bible studies with the New Converts.
Ø  Fellowshipping in evening especially on Sundays.
Ø  Help the these families ( especially the 2 single mothers) have a small income generating activity.
Ø  Praying and fasting for this mission.
Ø  Carrying out village survey about people's religious beliefs and livelihood.

ABOUT THE THREE FAMILIES:
Nalubega Harriet is the first lady we met in March 2012. She is a single mother who lost her husband some years back. She comes from a Catholic setting.  She caters for four children whom the relatives of the deceased chased her away with. Ronald, one of her sons, has a terrible sickness which they have tried in hospitals but in vain. One of Ronald’s feet is becoming shorter and shorter than the other. This has made this lady hopeless. The first day we shared, she exclaimed; “if really God loves me, then, why all these things?” She has to pay school fees and meet the basic needs and medication for other children besides Ronald. She works for people in their farms down in Lubowa valley to get a living. In fact one day she told us that she spend the whole day digging for people who in turn give her food.

Second is Maama Hajara. She confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and savior on 26th, April 2012. She is also a single mother with five children. She comes from a Muslim background. She first got married to a Muslim with whom they produced four siblings. He neglected her with these little ones. She got another man who also left her with pregnancy. She produced and now on her own. One of her first born daughter is in Senior Three. The follower is in Primary Three. She claims that the latter was bewitched by the step mother from the first husband. Always at night he wakes up shouting that people are coming after him. This has declined his ability to learn. She shared with me (Patrick) that she wanted somebody to take him either to pray for him or stay with him. I convinced her to stay with her son meanwhile we are praying for him. This lady is really lives a hopeless life one can ever imagine.

Third, Martin is a young man almost beating his thirties. He faces trauma issues. His mother gave him to another man who was not his father. He discovered later on that this man was not his real father. He had to find his way out up to Rwanda where his old aged father is. He spoke to us in a low tone, “my father could not welcome me because he never thought that I still existed. Weak as he is sold all land which have been mine. If I was not given to another man, I would have been with property, but now I am a nuisance.” Surprisingly, his mother is Christian believer. So, Martin has hated church and God because of his mother. We shared with him and he accepted the gospel. We believe that in case a fellowship is started such persons will be assisted to grow in loving God than hating Him.

How would you feel if you got chance to talk to these families? You and I can stand in pray, visit, send us Bibles or other materials, and support them in any way.
Let God shower upon the land the former and latter rains Joel 2: 23-24.

May God richly reward you as you serve with us. You can reach out with us by contacting Ugandan office Box 161 Lugazi, or write to Patrick Mukisa at dcm.min@gmail.com.
